I understand challenges

After many years of chronic pain, an additional chronic illness meant having to leave life in London, friends, social life and career to move back home with my parents in my 30s, losing the ability to walk, work and in constant agony.  

Not sure it’s ‘for you’ either?

I’ve tried so many treatments, medications and therapies to help the physical problems and their inherent mental challenges.  I’ve been so open to trying anything that could help, but meditation was something I dodged.  As a chronic overthinker with anxiety, it seemed impossible and intolerable to sit still and listen to the merry-go-round of unhelpful, negative thoughts. 

It was only by truly understanding meditation and the habits of the mind via Mind Calm Meditation that meant I haven’t missed a single day’s meditation since I started. The benefits provide all the motivation.  

I’m qualified to help you

I am a fully qualified Mind Calm Meditation Coach and Mind Detox Practitioner, (certified by the Federation of Holistic Therapists), trained over an intensive 18 month period by bestselling author and modern-day monk Sandy C. Newbigging.  After my mind was blown and world enhanced, I felt compelled to dedicate myself to the study, embodying and sharing of these methods.

What I bring to the table

I draw on previous studies and experience of working with a broad spectrum of people tackling their personal challenges including in the criminal justice and mental health systems.  I have worked with a number of charities including Breast Cancer Now, Alzheimer's Society and Headspace, Bolton.  After graduating from The University of Manchester I spent time in South America at Centre for Theatre of the Oppressed with Augusto Boal empowering disadvantaged and marginalised groups via Forum Theatre. 

As a trained actor having worked in comedy, I like to find light moments in my work too. I’m serious about what I do, but it doesn't mean it has to be serious or dry!
