Severe Period Pain.
“I did Mind Detox with Antonia to address severe period pains I was having since having my second child. I found it really easy to talk to Antonia about this, despite it being potentially a bit embarrassing! During the session I found it interesting to talk around the potential origin of the problem, and the meaning of it to me - something I had not fully considered or spoken about before. I realise now that I had been worrying that something was really wrong, when in fact it wasn't and that this was probably making the pain feel worse. I don't think I would have realised this without doing this course. Since then I have had two relatively pain-free periods which is an amazing change for me! ‘‘Prior to taking part in Mind Detox I struggled to deal with the idea of death and the impact this has. There were triggers that would stir up many emotions such as anxiety, fear and dread, along with physical symptoms such as headaches and stomach pains.
I had many counselling sessions to support me by providing coping strategies, but none that helped to deal with the root of the issue. The session helped…me to understand where my initial trigger lies, it allowed me to change my perspective and see why this event was an issue for me.
After taking part in Mind Detox I feel much more in control of my emotions. I am more at peace about what has happened in my life, and have removed unhelpful beliefs that previously triggered a high emotional state for me. …it has positively impacted both my emotional and physical wellness.
